Main Purpose of Role:
Working as part of the Contracts Team to process orders received by the Company to meet the customer’s requirements, Company budget levels and time constraints.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management
o Provide customers with a single point of contact, managing allocated projects from order acceptance through to delivery and revenue receipt.
o Monitor order progress and liaise with Group manufacturing facilities and external suppliers to ensure delivery is on time, within specification and on budget.
o Maintain effective communication links with customers to ensure they are kept aware of order progress and relevant information, whilst also understanding and responding to changes in customer requirements, project timescales and other factors in order to protect Company position.
o Organise and chair meetings with key customers to provide project updates and when required, visit the installation sites with the clients.
o Provide technical information and advice to customers and colleagues, as required.
o Seek and develop strategies to improve the existing supply and communication models by closely working with the company’s global manufacturing facilities and the client.
o Work closely with the external sales team and the client to develop an amicable and developing business relationship.
o Recording activity and customer contacts in the Company’s systems.
Person Specification/Profile
Academic & Other Requirements:
o Sound educational background required; HNC/HND preferred.
o Good persuasion, presentation and communication skills. Comfortable in communicating complex and potentially disappointing information, and can remain calm and professional in all business situations.
o Resilient individual who can work through difficult problems, and develop strategies to improve the situation and avoid repeat scenarios.
o Self-starter who can work on his/her own initiative, capable of balancing a demanding workload through effective prioritisation and completing work requirements quickly and accurately.
o Experience of project management, together with a demonstrable ability to successfully plan, organise, prioritise and implement multiple activities to a demanding timescale. Capable of understanding and interpreting contract terms and conditions. Specific experience of direct customer contact is preferred.
o Strong IT skills, with particular competence in the use of MS Office software and web based software.
o Flexible approach and strong team working capabilities, prepared to support colleagues in the achievement of Company priorities and objectives.
o Willingness and aptitude to continue personal development activities, developing technical awareness and product/application knowledge.
